Here’s my run from this morning, a bit shorter, with a large hill in the middle.
Distance: 2.145 miles
Time: 00:19:44
Pace: 00:09:11.98/mile
Orientation looks like it is going to get done almost an hour early. Now I know for sure that I will be able to make it to the airport on-time!
Did a little mapping of my run this morning.
Distance: 2.2898 miles
Time: 00:20:42
Pace: 00:09:02.405/mile
My alarm is set for 6:30 AM tomorrow for another run. Perhaps I will run one of the other three directions.
The novelty of going to sleep in a different city and state than I woke up in has not worn off. I still feel a small sense of amazement that we can move around the country like this. What’s even harder to fathom is that one week from now I will be in Cleveland, OH. Yes, I know air travel has been around for decades, but it still is something to behold.
I arrived into San Jose without a hitch. The plane was on-time, the hotel was very close to the airport, and I’m now looking out my window at the Ernst & Young office building across the street. Had a chicken caesar salad in the bar downstairs for dinner, ironed my shirts and now I’m listening to the ESPYs. My wake-up call is set for 7:00 AM in order to allow me time to go on a brief run. I better put all of this extra “me” time to good use!
I miss Keri. Yes, yes, I know it’s only been five hours, but I miss her anyway, so there. The next month will probably be tough, but it’s a test that I welcome. We love each other.
I had quite the productive Saturday morning! Cleaned my room, packed for San Jose, filled out my employment paperwork, did a little social network cleaning and figured out my credit card payoff plan.
